Indications/Uses
Add-on therapy for the symptomatic treatment of patients w/ stable angina pectoris who are inadequately controlled by or intolerant to 1st-line antianginal therapies.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Vastarel MR 1 tab bid. Vastarel 20 1 tab tid.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Parkinson's disease, parkinsonian symptoms, tremors, restless leg syndrome & other related movement disorders. Severe renal impairment (CrCl <30 mL/min).
Special Precautions
Not a curative treatment for angina attacks nor as initial treatment for unstable angina or MI, nor in the pre-hospital phase or during the 1st days of hospitalization. Reevaluate coronaropathy. May aggravate or cause symptoms similar to those of Parkinson's disease. Discontinue use in occurrence of parkinsonian symptoms, restless leg syndrome, tremors or gait instability (low incidence & usually reversible after discontinuation). Falls may occur following a drop in BP or loss of balance, particularly in patients taking antihypertensive treatment. Moderate renal impairment. May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy. Do not use during lactation. Childn <18 yr. Elderly (>75 yr).
Adverse Reactions
Dizziness, headache; abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia, nausea & vomiting; rash, pruritus, urticaria; asthenia.
